You will join a busy, well established and further growing team, dealing with a diversified client portfolio and a varied caseload in the fields of tax controversy and tax litigation.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your role as an Associate will focus on the delivery of client engagements, exercising effective communication and relationship-building skills, as well as contributing to the priorities of the team. In this role, you will commit to personal learning and development and explore opportunities to make an impact by delivering exceptional legal services.
During your tenure as an Associate, you will demonstrate and develop the ability to:
- Conduct legal research to analyze tax laws, regulations and court decisions relevant to cases.
- Represent clients in tax disputes before the Tax Authorities.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on tax controversy matters.
- Prepare and file legal documents, such as administrative recourses, judicial recourses, appeals etc. with relevant tax authorities and courts.
- Attend hearings, trials and other proceedings related to tax disputes.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to develop strategies for tax litigation cases.
- Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact clients and their cases.
OUR REQUIREMENTS

In particular, to qualify for the role, you must have:
- qualified as an Attorney-at-Law in Greece (Athens Bar Association or other Bar Association membership);
- minimum three (3) and up to seven (7) years of relevant work experience in tax controversy, tax litigation or related practice areas;
- a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Tax Law from a prominent, well-acclaimed University in Greece or abroad;
- Diploma/Seminars in tax law will be considered a strong asset;
- strong understanding of tax laws, regulations and procedures;
- experience with tax audits and administrative courts;
- demonstrated ability to handle complex tax litigation matters independently or as part of a team;
- an excellent command of the English language;
- organizational skills and capacity to be detail – oriented;
- ability to conduct legal research, interpret legislation and case law.
