Koimtzoglou-Bakalis-Venieris-Leventis and Associates Law Firm (KBVL, Member of the Deloitte Legal Network) is currently looking for a talented and experienced lawyer to join its dynamic Private Clients Services practice group in Athens. You will join a busy and growing team advising a diversified portfolio of private clients, entrepreneurs, family businesses and high-net-worth individuals on a broad range of domestic and international matters, including personal taxation, wealth and succession planning, international tax planning and structuring, corporate restructurings, tax compliance and philanthropy. The role combines strong technical expertise with significant client exposure and offers the opportunity to work directly with clients and other professional advisers in Greece and abroad.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Managing Associate, you will play an active role in the delivery and management of client engagements, working directly with clients and developing strong and trusted client relationships. You will be expected to combine high-quality technical advice with a commercial and practical approach, while contributing to the continued growth and development of the team.
During your tenure as a Managing Associate, you will demonstrate and further develop the ability to:
- Manage and contribute to complex client engagements, taking ownership of matters and ensuring high-quality and timely delivery;
- Work directly with clients, participate in and lead client meetings, understand their needs and provide clear, practical and commercially focused advice;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, external advisers and other stakeholders;
- Identify client needs and opportunities for further support and contribute to the development of new and existing client relationships;
- Provide legal and tax advice in relation to:
- Taxation of individuals, including income, real estate, gift and inheritance taxation;
- Wealth, estate and succession planning, with a particular focus on inheritance and civil law matters;
- Trusts, foundations and other wealth-holding structures;
- Shipping taxation;
- Corporate and asset restructurings;
- Philanthropy and charitable structures;
- Tax compliance;
- International tax planning and the implementation of domestic and cross-border asset-holding structures;
- Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and related international tax transparency matters;
- Coordinate with tax advisers, lawyers, trustees, banks and other professional advisers in Greece and abroad;
- Conduct legal research and analysis and prepare high-quality legal opinions, memoranda, advice and other client deliverables;
- Contribute to the development, knowledge-sharing and business priorities of the Private Clients practice.
OUR REQUIREMENTS

In particular, to qualify for the role you should have:
- Qualification as an Attorney-at-Law in Greece and membership of the Athens Bar Association or another Greek Bar Association;
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant professional experience;
- Strong knowledge of Greek tax and/or civil law, ideally with experience in private client matters;
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken;
- Strong communication, presentation and client-facing skills;
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines;
- The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
- A Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Tax Law, Civil Law or another relevant field from a well-regarded university in Greece or abroad will be considered an asset.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Previous experience in tax law, civil law (particularly inheritance and succession law) and/or corporate law;
- Experience advising private clients, entrepreneurs, family businesses or high-net-worth individuals;
- Postgraduate qualifications, diplomas or specialized seminars in tax law or related fields.
